I finally got around to make another blog post here! This time I'll give you a quick summary of our trip to Poland (mostly about ultrace!)
This was my first time going to Poland and I'll never forget it.
I'll start from the day we arrived to our hotel! We knew the trip was going to definitely be a experience when our taxi driver asked why would we stay here. For context we were around 14km away from Wroclaw. We thought it would be smarter to get a cheap hotel and use the nearby train station to go to Wroclaw stadium but once we arrived we found out the train station was under construction...
So long story short we spent almost more on Ubers than the hotel itself
But now to the part you all want to read about! Ultrace 24' (I'll talk more about the trip at the end if you're interested!)
The first that blew my mind was the Jägermeister Porsche 962C. Even though most of you probably already know I love JDM cars I also love old German cars a lot and especially these old lemans cars. The styling of these cars were just so different!
(more photos on my instagram @caruseum)
Ultrace 24' was on a whole other level compared to other car shows that I've been to! There were all types of cars from LBWK countach to Volvos!
This LBWK RX-7 was just crazy seeing in real life! I've seen it on instagram and always wanted to see it and I finally got the chance to see it!
I saw the Slantnose 997 at Wroclaws old city the night before ultrace! Didn't get to meet the owner but it was crazy seeing a Slantnose just sit on a random street!
This E21 was also beautiful! This is just the type of car that I like! maybe someday I can own one of these myself.
Also this Warsteiner E30 was crazy to see! Even though it wasn't a real DTM car it still made me remember being a kid and looking at videos of old DTM races and seeing these race and that probably started my fascination with old racing cars.
Also saw some beautifully built old mercs!
Now on to the drift area! I also would like to apologize to NEXTLEVEL for sneaking in hhaha (probably shouldn't admit that.)
But I was not going to miss this! At first I walked in accidentally and was let inside by a security guard but then when I tried to get a media pass they told me to leave (got back in the same way again! Still had some photos to take ;) )
I was not going to stop that from being able to document some of the CRAZY builds I saw there and now I'll show them to you!
Two purple S14's
This is still one of my favorite photos I've taken
@Hotboijokke representing the Finnish drift scene!
Some caruseum stickers all the way in Poland! Thank you Jokke for keeping them on!
Every car that I saw there was built well and weren't tacky! And even though I like the tuning style of 90's early 2000's drift cars I was glad all of the cars weren't built like that.
Tried to get film photos of the cars drifting but didn't get any good shots.
Although I didn't get a media pass the drift part was my favorite! And also all the drivers who took the free stickers I gave them I want to say thank you!
This was one of my favorite cars at the whole show! The 6th gen skyline is one of my favorite skylines! I can now scratch seeing one of my car bucket list. Now I just need to find a R33 LM limited & RS Super Silhouette!
Another Porsche 962C These cars just are so perfect looking to me! I wish to own one of these but I have to sell A LOT of stickers if I want one of these hhaha
There was also a Mclaren F1 GTR-LM that somehow I forgot to take film photos of..
But that's basically my experience to ultrace! It was tons of fun and got to see some friends from Finland also! Just wish I had bought the night experience and wore some sunscreen.
Now for those few that wanted to hear about my overall experience of Poland i'll quickly summarize it!
The food was great and super cheap compared to Finland.
Here's a quick review of the food that I ate (that I can remember)
Pizza was great but only at stone baked ones so didn't get to taste the local pizza & kebab shop pizza.
McDonald's was the same as back home but a wayyy bigger selection food!
KFC a hundred times better than the ones in Finland.
I also ate some sushi/misc. food that I Ubered to my hotel, but I have to say that the sushi was super cheap! 100 pieces of sushi was around 35€! (Split it with my friend Im not eating that much hhaha)
Also it was my birthday at the day of ultrace (29th of june) so we went to eat some steak which overall was decent!
Now the people in Wroclaw were super nice even though a lot of them don't seem to know any english. The old architecture of the city was cool!
That's it! I really gotta learn how to write these blogs so they aren't so incoherent.
Can't wait to visit Poland again next year if im able to!
Ps. No idea how I can turn on the comments on these sorry hhaha
